Baltimore, MD – In accordance with Article VI of the Baltimore City Charter, the Fiscal Year 2025 Preliminary Budget is now available for review. Visit the website of the Bureau of the Budget and Management Research (BBMR) to review or download a copy of the budget.
Every year, the City of Baltimore develops a budget for both the operating and capital budgets. BBMR oversees the operating budget planning process and the Department of Planning oversees the capital budget planning process. The Department of Finance is charged with submitting the preliminary budget to the Board of Estimates. The BOE has 30 days to review and host a public hearing before voting on the proposed ordinance of estimates.
