Simon Etta is a seasoned Telecommunications and Information Technology professional with over 20 year’s experience. He began his technical career with Intecom Inc., a Dallas based telecommunications equipment manufacturer. He later joined Winstar Telecommunication in the Broadband Division as a Senior Regional Engineer - overseeing large engineering and technical projects in several States.
Mr. Etta is responsible for management and supervision of the enterprise voice telecommunication network, assets and supporting unified communications platforms. Major responsibilities include vendor/contract administration, budget management, inventory/capacity planning, change control management, new service implementations, business continuity telephony plans and contact center technology design and enhancements. Additional responsibilities include system, and network capacity management to ensure voice network and system level assets are scaled to support growth trajectories and initiatives throughout the City enterprise.
Simon holds advanced degrees in Telecommunications and Information technology from Texas Southern University and the University of Maryland, global campus. He is a member of the Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers (IEEE), and American Solar Energy Society (ASES). He is accredited with many awards and industry certifications.
