Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs)

In our fast-paced world, time is more precious than ever. We all seek ways to streamline our daily tasks, and the City of Baltimore is here to help. Are you tired of waiting for checks to arrive in the mail, only to make additional trips to the bank? Say goodbye to these hassles by switching to electronic payments today!

We invite all our suppliers to sign up for Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs) with the City of Baltimore. Not only is it convenient, but it's also safe and secure. Here's how you can get started:

  1. Visit our Workday Portal: Access the Workday Supplier Portal at workday.baltimorecity.gov/login.

  2. Navigate to Contact and Banking: Click on "View All Apps" and select "Contact and Banking."

  3. Initiate Change Request: Select "More" and then "Change Settlement Bank Accounts." This will prompt a pop-up where you can create a draft change request.

  4. Add New Account Information: Under the Settlement Bank Accounts tab, click the plus (+) symbol to add your new account information.

  5. Select EFT as Payment Type: Ensure that for "Supplier Connection Payment Types," you select EFT.

  6. Complete Required Information: Fill in all the necessary details.

  7. Attach Required Documents: Upload a voided check or a letter from your bank on official bank letterhead.

  8. Submit Your Request: Click "Submit" to finalize your change request.

  9. Confirmation: Once submitted, your request will be in the Draft state until approved by a City of Baltimore Accounts Payable. You'll receive notifications regarding the status of your request.
